(AFCO) is the only Acrylic Fiber plant in Africa and Middle-east region and producing high quality gel dyed and raw white tow, top and fiber for various end-uses such as Sweaters, Blankets, Carpets, and Furnishing etc. AFCO’s state-of-the-art manufacturing plant is located at Amreya, 25 kilometers south of Alexandria, Egypt. The plant has the most modern acrylic fiber manufacturing technology from Japan Exlan and basic engineering done by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Limited, Japan. The plant employs highly sophisticated and computerized instrument control system for continuous monitoring of quality of production. At present AFCO is producing 18000 MT of tow, top and fibers per annum and planned to augment the capacity to over 60,000 MT by the end of year 2007.
