Quick Release Hooks provide safe and efficient methods to secure fast a vessel to a jetty as well as fast release of a vessel from the jetty in case emergency. The primary use of this mooring equipment is to allow instant release of all or selected ships mooring lines at the throw of a remote or local control lever/switch.
The Quick Release Hook (QRH) operation enables mooring lines to be secured safely with a minimum of effort. All hooks swivel in both vertical and horizontal planes, will release whether the moorings are slack or under full Safe Working Load under a max manual effort of 15/20kg.
QRH are also used on remote mooring points where access is difficult or distant, also to improve efficiency and/or economy on rapid turn round berths such as ferry terminals. They are used instead or with conventional bollards.
MARIMO offer Quick Release Mooring Hooks, related control system and hardware. MARIMO hooks are mostly made of two parts of quick mooring and release, including capstan, locking of hook, release mechanism, hook and metal structure. Till now, MARIMO hooks have been widely installed in China, America, Spain, Denmark, Turkey etc.
